Friday I'm In Love

Welcome to week 4 of Friday I'm in Love!!  I can't believe it's been 4 weeks already!!  And tomorrow will also be week four of my Linky Party Saturday Social (Don't Forget to Link Up!!).  This month is flying by!

It was another week of amazing projects in the bloggy world - I swear summer really inspires everyone to do such amazing things!!

My first love this week is this adorable bag - only $1 from the Dollar Store!!  Lucy from Craftberry Bush conquered her fear of sewing (I share her pain) and made this masterpiece.  I would love to carry this to the boat or pool -I am so proud of you Lucy!!  Now come teach me how to make one!!

I absolutely adore this master bedroom makeover by The Hills.  Dan and Haley did an amazing job transforming their bedroom!  It looks like a hotel room!  Love the design, love the colors - love, love love!!

Carolyn at Homework never ceases to amaze me with her awesome projects.  I thought these coffee bag Father's Day gifts were so great.  I know my husband would love to get this!!  So cute and masculine all at the same time!!

I have been a might bit obsessed with old ladders lately, and was so jealous when I saw this one that Elizabeth at Just Following Jesus found.  I need these for my home office makeover!!  She styled it so well - Elizabeth - send me some of that ladder luck!!

And this may be the last of my favorites today, but it was actually the first that I booked marked for this week's post.  I stumbled on Beach House in the City this week, and I think it may be one of my new favorite blogs!!  Natalie shared an awesome tutorial on how to make these super fun cork boards - one of these are DEFINITELY going in my office!!

Hope you enjoyed my Friday I'm In Love Favorites this week!!

Baby Shower Favors and Thank You Cards

Happy Thursday!!  About a year or so ago, I had an order for some baby shower favors and thank you cards.  I was given free reign to design whatever I thought would be cute - I just had to use the nursery theme - pink and leopard print.  The other challenge for me was that these all had to be shipped to Dallas, so I tried to be conscious of shipping charges, and also didn't want to make anything candy or food related for fear that it would melt or get damaged.

So, I came up with the idea to incorporate the "shower" theme by creating these faux cupcakes out of shower puffs!  I tried to find a template for the cupcake wrappers, but in the end, just ended up making my own.  I handmade each of these wrappers - I think there were about 25 total.  It took a long time, but they came out so perfect - AND were a huge hit at the shower!

For the thank you cards, I used my cricut to cut a die of the mommy to be.  I lined the back with the leopard print paper, and layered it to pop it off the card.  Each card was hand stamped using a stamp from Stampin' Up (I think it may have come from a free hostess set that I got).

I packaged the cupcakes in cello bags, tied with ribbon, and a tag that read, "From Heidi's Shower to Yours".

Cute little set, right?

Till tomorrow - tune in for my Friday I'm In Love favorites!  Also - don't forget about my Saturday Social Linky tomorrow night!  Please - tell your crafty friends about it!

Baby Girl Scrapbook

Before I get started, I need to say that NATURE is out to GET ME!  As I was writing this post, I opened the front door to let the cat in, and a BIRD flew in the house!!!  I let out a blood curdling scream, and a "THERE'S A BIRD IN THE HOUSE - THERE'S A BIRD IN THE HOUSE"!!!  Hubby came running downstairs thinking there was an intruder.  He grabbed a towel and a box and went chasing after the bird.  It was flying from room to room, and I flew into the bathroom and locked myself in there!  Every time I peeked out, I saw Hubby running from room to room waving a towel - yelling for me to help - but I couldn't do it...and the bird would fly towards the door, and I would shut it as fast as I could.  Finally (after 15 minutes), hubby got smart and pinned the bird down under a tennis racket, scooped him up with the towel and set him free.  I am SUCH a chicken!!

OK - back to the post, sheesh - such excitement around here!!  So, awhile back I made a custom scrapbook for a baby girl, Zoe.  I wanted to go for more of a shabby chic look to go with the decor of the nursery.  I had a lot of fun with this, and added a lot of texture with tearing paper, velvet images, glitter, dry embossing and ink distressing.  The mom was so happy - and I was happy that she loved the custom gift!!

Love this one - definitely one of my favorite projects ever!
