Friday I'm In Love - The Countdown in ON

There is only ONE MONTH 'till Halloween!!  Since I was a kid, this has been one of my favorite holidays.  I think because my birthday is November 1st, and it always ended up as a two day celebration!  What's better than candy AND cake??  I thought since today is the last day in September, that we can start the countdown with some great Halloween-themed projects!!

What better way to kick off a countdown than with a Countdown Board??  Laura from Corner House actually shared this tutorial on I Heart Naptime.  I fell in love with it when I saw it - what a great idea!!  The whole vignette came out really cute.  Make sure you check out the tutorial on I Heart Naptime, but don't forget to also visit Laura's blog - it's a good one!!

How cute is this Chevron Subway Art (available for FREE download) from Eighteen25??  Jamie, Jodi and Jen have the most adorable projects.  There is a ton of inspiration on their blog - I plan to sit back with a few cups of coffee and take it all in this weekend.  I am their newest follower!!

I am sure you are all familiar with Jen at Tatertots and Jello.  I have been following her blog for like, ever!  These Halloween Pillows are so awesome.  She shares the tutorial AND more ideas - check it out!  I just love everything she does!!

I think that this Spray Painted Burlap Table Runner is the greatest idea!  Melissa at Polkadot Chair gives a step by step on how to make this.  I love the basis of the idea - this could work for any season!  I love me some burlap!!

Finally - ANOTHER ingenious idea!  Landee from Landee See, Landee Do made bunting from leftover moulding scraps!!  Who would've thunk it?  What a great addition to her already adorable mantle??  I'm inspired - LOVE!!

Friday I'm In Love - Week 18!!

Happy Friday!!  You know what that means, right?  Time for my Friday I'm In Love favorites for the week!!  I love doing this every week, because no matter how busy life gets, it gives me a reason to visit some pretty amazing blogs.  It's been kind of a rainy week in GA, so after choosing my favorites, I realized they were all gray - must be the weather!  Also - I do love me some gray!!

Alright - let's get down to it!!  I absolutely LOVE these Felt Acorns that Tonia from The Gunny Sack made.  She shared the tutorial - yay!  I plan to march my pregnant bootie all over the neighborhood this weekend to collect some acorns. I am totally inspired and plan to make some of these for sure!!!

When I first saw this DIY Letterpress Stamp, I thought it was going to be really difficult to make.  Surprise!!  Michele at The Scrap Shoppe shared a tutorial and it is actually super easy!!  LOVE!  This would be so cute for a winter mantle, or even a bed or bathroom!!  Thanks Michele!

OK - so if you have been following me for awhile - then you know that Craftberry Bush is my favorite blog.  Everything Lucy makes is pretty stinkin' amazing - that's why I feature her here a lot.  Her fall mantle is no exception - gorgeous!!  It looks right out of the pages of a Pottery Barn catalog.  Awesome job Lucy!!

I really loved this updated dresser that Shari over at Turnstyle Vogue refinished.  From the color down to the burned edge book pages - every detail is beautiful!  This would be gorgeous in an entryway!!

How cute is this Dryer Vent Pumpkin from A Diamond In The Stuff???  Courtney - this is ingenious!!!  Loving the scale too - awesome!!

Great ideas out there this week!!  If you were featured, feel free to grab a button from my sidebar.  Have a wonderful weekend!!

Vintage Boarding Pass Invites

Just finished (and shipped!) and order for an "Around the World" themed bridal shower.  This one took me awhile to finish - a lot of work!!  Plus, I had a little hiccup on the night before it was going to ship.  I was on the final stretch, just had to stuff the boarding passes into the folder, and wrap the belly band on, when I realized that I had a typo on EVERY invitation!!  I spelled "Bridal Registration" as "Bridal Registeration".  I was sooo upset!  So, since all of the invites were personalized with the recipients name, I had to fix the error, re-lay all of them out, re-print, and re-handcut all of them.  This was all at 10pm.  Needless to say - I was up until 1am that night fixing them!

This is the full invite - boarding pass, folder and belly band.

The wedding colors were peacock blue and sangria.  I used the theme, and created a vintage map boarding pass.

In the end, I was really happy with the way they turned out. I hope my customer likes them!!  Can't wait until she receives them!!!

Tutu Fun!!

Man, this week is flying!!  My weekend was jam packed, and this week has been just as busy.  I have spent the last 4 days finishing up a large invitation order (which I will share soon)!  In between though, I fit in a set of custom notecards for one of my BFFs engagement party (which I forgot to take pics of), and also made this tutu and matching headband for another birthday party that Addie went to over the weekend.

It feels like she gets invited to a party (or 2) almost every weekend - madness I tell you!!  I think her social calendar is more full than mine!!

I guess I am starting to get the second wind of the second trimester!  Either that or I am forcing myself to do stuff (maybe it's a little of both)!  It feels good to be crafting again though, I must admit.

Now I need to start working on the nursery!  I have been looking around and gathering things for some inspiration boards.  That way, as soon as we find out if it is a boy or girl, I can get moving!!

Have a great Wednesday!

Friday I'm In Love....and a Very Special Announcement!

So, for three months I have been DYING to tell you something.  If anyone was wondering why I have kind of fallen off the face of the earth, here's the reason:

Hubby and I are EXPECTING!!

I am due on March 30th, and this pregnancy has completely and utterly exhausted me!  I'm talking falling asleep on the couch at 7:30pm.  Unfortunately, that is the reason the blog has taken a bit of a hit - I always craft, and blog, at night.  Now, I am just too tired to function.  I have projects backed up, but sleep wins out every time!!

I am 12 weeks now though, so I am REALLY hoping that the exhaustion will wear off soon and I will be feeling myself again.

If you follow me on Pinterest, you may have expected that something was going on.  I have an overwhelming number of baby room ideas, diaper bags, etc.  I have been so wanting to share everything on here with you.

Well - today's the day I can finally share some of the beautiful nurseries I have found in Blog Land.

The first comes from Amy Meier Design.  I just love the unique color scheme and design in this room.  It's absolutely adorable.  Hop over to her blog if you get a chance - see those frames?  Inside are pages from Shel Silverstein books.  LOVE IT!

The second nursery, I have been admiring for quite some time.  This room from Dear Lillie has been inspiring me for months.  Jennifer designed this for her little sweetie.  I love the neutral color scheme and vintage feel.  So beautiful!!

And, I can't forget the baby boy rooms!!  This nursery that Sherry from Design Indulgence created is just amazing.  For me, baby girl's are easier to design for.  This room gave me a TON of inspiration!  LOVE the old wood door!

And finally, I love this mobile that Jillian from The Virginia House made.  I never though about making my own mobile until I saw this!  Now, I am hell bent on the idea.  LOL.  Isn't it fabulous??

Ahhh...I feel such a relief now that I have let the cat out of the bag.  No more hiding, and the BEST part - the baby is healthy and I can relax and enjoy it all now!!  We are so stinkin' excited!!!

Oh yeah - the only sad part is..... remember my craft room??

I need to say bye bye!  This is now the baby's room.  I have no clue what I am going to do with all of my stuff!!!!  LOL.

Happy Anniversary Babe

I wanted to post this yesterday, but Hubby and I only have hard copies of our wedding photos, and scanning them took way longer than I thought!!  I could either have spent our anniversary writing a blog post, or actually spent time with Hubby - I think you know what my choice was...

Eight years ago, I married my wonderful husband, Justin!!  We were very blessed that day - we were surrounded by rain - but somehow we managed to stay in the only pocket of sunshine.

Our wedding was in Margate, NJ- this photo pretty much captures the feel of the wedding - the beach and my favorite season, fall!

My sister was my maid of honor, and we helped each other get ready - a memory I will never forget!

Justin and I made the decision to get some pictures on the beach before the ceremony.  He saw me before I walked down the aisle - whoops! That's ok - we got some great photos!!

As you can see - we were a bit excited to have it all done!!

I think at this moment, a flower petal went down the front of my dress, LOL.  Made for a great shot though!

This was the reception room at the Blue Heron Pines Golf Club.  I still love this room!!  It was so quaint and cozy.

My dad makes stained glass, and made all of our favors - maple leaf sun catchers!  I still put them on my windows every fall!!

Our friend Howie made a speech, telling the story of how we met - it was pretty funny.

Our first dance....

This picture makes me smile.  It is polish tradition to do a dollar dance, while wearing a babushka.  Here I was dancing with my gram - she passed away last August, and I miss her every day,

Everyone broke it down that night - there was so much dancing!!  We really had fun - I think by the time everyone left, they were all shedding layers - what a blast!  Here's hubby dancing to foot loose. lol.  Too funny!!

Happy Anniversary Sweetie!!  Here's to 8 years, and many more to come.  I love you!!!
