A Fish Tale

So, unsurprisingly, I did not receive many (ok any) ideas on how to decorate around the fish monster that my husband brought home a few weeks ago.  For those of you who may not have seen that post, here is a picture of the challenge I was facing:

I knew that the only way to make it work was to lighten up the area a little.  Hubby and I have some more ideas for this space, but for now, this is where it stands.  It's his trophy fish, so I guess I need to take one for the team, right?  I think it looks much better.

Layer it all up, and maybe no one will notice the mammoth fish on the wall?  What do you think?  :o)
