Hooked on Design Star

For those of you who missed my post last week, I declared that my favorite to win Design Star was Blanche.  GUESS WHO got booted!?!?  Blanche.  Jeez, I sure can pick em, can't I??  

I think these "poorly executed" wall panels were the reason for her too early departure!

I looked at her portfolio before the show started, and it was really great!!  I think poor Blanche just had a bad day.  I still love her!! 

My husband, on the other hand, picked the designer that was on the winning team last week!!  Go figure, right??   His favorite, Kellie, grew up in Edmond, OK - the same town as hubby.  She's pretty amazing, so I think I may be joining forces with him!!

This was a nook in the room Kellie designed - and one of the reasons her team won!

Now...listen closely!!!  If there is any episode to watch - it's this week!!  It's the WHITE BOX CHALLENGE!!  For those of you who aren't familiar with the show, one episode each season, the designers are given a white room (literally a white box) to decorate.  This is when the gloves come out, and the designs are amazing (or...not so amazing)!!  Want a sneak peak??  Check it out!!!

Once again, choosing my favorites was tough!!  One thing to mention - each one of these projects has an awesome tutorial posted - make sure you check them all out!!  Since I'm late posting these again, I'll get right down to it - no more jibber jabber! 

These Leather, Feather Earrings from Wobisobi are to DIE for!!!  Anne is seriously talented - and I NEED a pair of these earrings!!!

I attempted to make a sign a few weeks ago - you haven't seen it on my blog (and there is a reason for that!!)  Vivienne from The V Spot made this awesome Vintage Lake Sign.  This is on my to-do (or redo) list for sure!!!

How good does this Bacon Apple Bruschetta look?  My mouth is watering looking at it!  I love me some savory dishes!!  Laura from Storybook Reality posted the recipe - this has already been pinned by me to make for my next get together!!

Carole at The Jubilee Circus has a great tutorial on how to make Corker Bows.  I have been wanting to try this for awhile, but wasn't quite sure how.  This was her first attempt - what a fantastic job!!  Thanks Carole!!

Friday I'm In Love

There is no rhyme or reason to this week's addition of Friday I'm In Love.  The common thread to all of these is that they are all fantastic projects, and deserve all of the Love I can give!!  If you were featured - feel free to grab a button from my sidebar!

OK - this first one - is a 3-D PAPER Princess Castle that Judy's Handmade Creations made for her daughter's birthday party.  This is beyond incredible - it came out so perfect, right down to the glitter!! 

 Julie at Less-Than-Perfect Life of Bliss outdid herself with this one.  See this pretty bench?  It started out as a coffee table!   It's so beautiful - you have to check out the whole room on her blog - it looks so great in there!

I saw this in my blog feed, and fell in love!  Kelli and Kristi at Lolly Jane repurposed an old apron into this adorable little sundress.  I wish I had one of these for Addie!!

Carrie at Greenbean's Crafterole always has such great ideas! I have been needing an excuse to purchase a Bind It All for a long time, and I think I just found it!  These paintchip notepads would make such great gifts or party favors!!

And finally - Leslie at Saving Grace Creations had me with casters!  Her Industrial Chic Coffee Table can wheel its way into my house any day!!
