I started blogging last spring, but really haven't been able to keep up with it. I started out with Wordpress, and found it difficult to use without having CSS knowledge - and a web programmer, I'm not! Then, when I launched SocialSalutations.com, I incorporated it into the site. This, however, wasn't very user friendly either, and I was extremely limited on what I could do.
So, after much searching, and looking at what many of my fellow craft bloggers are using, I have decided to go with Blogger. This platform is so much easier to use and customize - I have finally found a home!!
Here it is, my first official post at what I hope to be my final resting place! I plan to add more bells and whistles, and add a widget for my Etsy Shop here as well.
It will be a work in progress, but in the meantime, let's get blogging!!

Thank You Everyone!

Wow, it’s been a busy week, and I am just NOW posting this! Thank you to everyone who came out to the Sterling on the Lake holiday bazaar! It was my first event, and I met a lot of really great people. What great talent we have in this neighborhood! A special thank you goes out to Margie Eberline who helped me man my booth - you were such an amazing help! Congratulations to Susan Taylor, who won 25% off her next order from Social Salutations!!

I hope everyone has a safe and spooky Halloween! Here are a few things I made for our annual Halloween party. I loved using the black and white color scheme for a more gothic themed setting. I was able to pull this off using a lot of things I already had around the house, and then incorporating my paper and color scheme throughout with black candles, a few white pumpkins (I couldn’t resist) and some key purchases from the dollar store!

Social Salutations will be a vendor at this year’s Sterling on the Lake Winter Bazaar! I will be selling custom Holiday Cards, gifts and some goodies for your holiday events! Come to browse all of the vendors, get some early holiday shopping done, or just to support Social Salutations! The event is Sunday, November 7th from Noon - 4pm at the Sterling on the Lake Clubhouse. Some more information about the event is on Sterling-Life.com. I hope to see you there!

At long last, SocialSalutations.com is live! I have been so busy with orders, that unfortunately the necessities (like a website) have taken a backseat.
