Vintage Typewriter Notecards

Today was my new boss's birthday, so I decided to make her some personalized note cards for the occasion.  I had fun with this one.

I absolutely love the cream and black color combination, and thought this would be a great opportunity to use a vintage typewriter image that I have been saving for something special (found it at The Graphics Fairy).  I kept it simple, the design is clean, but I love the way it came out.  I used a typeset font to set it all off, and then decided to make them more girlie by lining the envelopes with a small polkadot pattern.

I went ahead and made a sample with my name on it to show you.  I'm excited though because even though I made her a whole set - I still have one to use for myself!!

I think this one may get added to my Etsy Shop!!

All done - Complete Baby Boy Scrapbook!!

Well, hello there!  I am so so so excited with the way this baby book came out.  I'm about to inundate you with photos, I will apologize in advance - I am just so proud!!  LOL.  This book literally started with two chipboard covers and a bunch of paper.  Everything here is hand cut, scored, sewn, assembled, covered, glued and tied.  I even wrapped the chipboard covers and lined the insides like a real book.  Love doesn't even begin to express how I feel about this book - you would think I was actually talking about a baby, right?  The only thing I have to do before delivering it is to add photo corners to all of the mounts so that the mommy can just slip her 4x6 photos in.

What do you think?  I adore it - now I have to get to work on two more...whew - that was a lot of work, but so worth the outcome!

Day 4 - Shower Curtain Redo

Man - LONG project, this one took me all day (plus I made a pot roast - hubby's favorite).  I am in the midst of re-decorating my downstairs bathroom.  We painted it a creamy white about 4 months ago, and this shower curtain has been on my list forever.  Please don't look at the rest of the room, it is pretty stark right now.  I know a few things I want to do, but haven't quite figured it all out yet.


In any case, this is what the shower curtain looked like before - totally boring, right?

And here it is after.  I hand stitched all of these rosettes - my first time doing that!  I'm pretty proud of myself!  

What do you think?  I still think it's missing something.  I had tied strips of the blue fabric to the tab tops, but then it looked too babyish.  I'm happy with it for now though.  I think once I get everything else done in there it will be just enough.  Yay - on to the next project!
