A Few New Designs
Life has been busy around here, but when creativity strikes, I go with it. Just wanted to share a few new note cards that I am selling in my Etsy Shop. Enjoy!
I love coming up with new designs and there are more where these came from. Stay tuned!

We've Got Spirit, Yes We Do!!
Addison's school has spirit day every Friday starting this week. Each Friday, students need to wear a school t-shirt, school colors, or a t-shirt of their favorite sports team. Since she has a plethora of pink, and not so many sports t-shirts, I had to get creative.
The school colors are red, gold and black, so I decided to make a fun headband for her to wear. I am sure this will be one of many that I make for her so she can swap them out each week. I will probably end up doing some shirts for her too, but I need to get out to the store to get some solid color shirts.
This is what I came up with, using the fabric I already had on hand.
I made this last night, and when Addie came downstairs this morning she saw it sitting on the island in the kitchen. "Ooh - that's so pretty Mommy!!" She was very pleased that it was for her!! I loved the horseshoe printed fabric - they were some scraps given to me from a friend. I wondered what I would use it for, and this was as good of a project as any!!
Don't forget to enter my giveaway - only 5 days left!!

Vintage Typewriter Notecards
Today was my new boss's birthday, so I decided to make her some personalized note cards for the occasion. I had fun with this one.
I absolutely love the cream and black color combination, and thought this would be a great opportunity to use a vintage typewriter image that I have been saving for something special (found it at The Graphics Fairy). I kept it simple, the design is clean, but I love the way it came out. I used a typeset font to set it all off, and then decided to make them more girlie by lining the envelopes with a small polkadot pattern.
I went ahead and made a sample with my name on it to show you. I'm excited though because even though I made her a whole set - I still have one to use for myself!!
I think this one may get added to my Etsy Shop!!

Backpack Name Tags - Day 8
Into week 2 - and I'm having so much fun! Today is a quick but cute project because I am going on a field trip with Addie's class. So with her in mind, I decided to make a name tag for her backpack.
I had made some luggage tags awhile back for some clients as bridal shower favors. Here's a few of them:
I still have some of those plastic covers, which are really durable. Addie is so hard on all of her stuff, so I knew whatever I made for her would have to endure being tossed around. I also wanted something pretty simple. As I was designing them, she sat with me and picked out which colors she wanted (pink and purple of course) and she told me that she wanted flowers.
This is what I came up with:

Happy Halloween!
October 31, 2010 (Moved from my website blog location)
I hope everyone has a safe and spooky Halloween! Here are a few things I made for our annual Halloween party. I loved using the black and white color scheme for a more gothic themed setting. I was able to pull this off using a lot of things I already had around the house, and then incorporating my paper and color scheme throughout with black candles, a few white pumpkins (I couldn’t resist) and some key purchases from the dollar store!
