Day 23 - A Whole New Look & A Three Dollar Set of Topiaries!

Notice anything different today? I have been a busy bee this morning!! I decided that I didn't like my blog template - it was too stuffy for me, and I needed something a bit cuter (and customized). I got to work last night designing a new header, and then played around with my template all morning. I am super happy with the new look - even though I still have a lot to add. The major overhaul is complete, but now I'm needing a few extras, as well as some minimization (is that even a word?). Let me know what you think? I would love any and all feedback!

OK - on to today's project. Oh the irony! We did end up getting about an inch of snow last night - but the high today is 47, so it should all be gone by tonight.  The roads were fine though, so thankfully no more snow days.  Funny though, that I made some spring topiaries.  Hey - I think my master plan is working - it's supposed to be 65 on Sunday!!  :o)  But for now, feel free to laugh at the snow in the background of my pictures - I couldn't resist taking them outside!

These topiaries we a smidge time consuming and messy - but CHEAP!  I already had the terra cotta pots, spanish moss, paint and dowel rods.  The only thing purchased was the deer moss ($1), birds ( 2 for $1), and twine ($1) - all from Dollar Tree.  Let me know if you want to know how to make them - basically it was all painting and glueing.

Tomorrow is the big mantel reveal - I can't wait to put it all together!  I'm off to go work on some orders - Valentines Day is coming, and I have been consumed with my spring stuff.  Priorities!!
